SORBENTS FOR BULK DESULFURIZATION

The SulfaTrap™-R7 sorbent technology is designed for ultra-purification of natural gas, biogas, CO2 streams, associated gas and a wide range of hydrocarbon streams (ranging from LPG to natural gas liquids to diesel fuel). The SulfaTrap™ sorbents can remove H2S and all other organic sulfur compounds (such as mercaptans, sulfides, thiophenes) to very low concentrations (single digit ppbv levels if needed).

Sulfur compounds in natural gas degrade process equipment and poison catalysts used in chemical synthesis processes. In addition to naturally occurring sulfur, pipeline gas also contains organic sulfur odorants such as dimethyl sulfide (DMS), tertiary-butyl mercaptan (TBM) and tetrahydrothiophene (THT). Sulfur content in the gas can change between wells, pipelines, and seasons. Heavy hydrocarbons and moisture further complicate the problem. SulfaTrap™ sorbents remove all naturally occurring sulfur compounds (H2S, COS), organo-sulfur odorants, di/sulfides, mercaptans, and thiophenes. Our sorbents reduce the sulfur concentration to ppbv levels to ensure maximum protection.
